Jessie Creedmore, Director

Jessie helps clients with marketing, communication and sales tools.

She has a strong sales, marketing and customer service background from a career in newspaper publishing, graphic design, retail sales, advertising sales, marketing and promotions, creative writing, customer service and management. This broad perspective, sales experience and a creative approach are strengths Jessie brings to clients of The Marketing Department.

She clocked up an impressive sales history during her time as a sales consultant at The Marlborough Express where her clients enjoyed her high level of communication skills; getting to know their personal preferences and individual marketing needs then matching their needs with an appropriate solution.

More recently Jessie worked with the Chamber of Commerce increasing their membership and sponsorship figures, then started her own graphic design and marketing business before purchasing The Marketing Department.

Enthusiastic and full of energy, Jessie has a huge passion for life and is a keen advocate for Marlborough. She enjoys getting out and about in the wonderful outdoor arena Marlborough provides, biking, running, visiting wineries along the way!

Chris Cookson
Web tech, Programmer, General I.T guru

Chris has a background in providing IT support and development for small business clients in New Zealand. He helps clients with database development, websites and e-commerce, web content management, office templates, SOHO network installation and support, and general I.T. consulting.

Chris has worked for a variety of small business clients in Blenheim, Marlborough on projects as diverse as a freight and voyages database for a barge company to implementing an internal mail server for a local timber mill.

Chris is the developer of the Webpression web content management system used by a number of local and national web sites.

Being experienced with a variety of tools and technologies including Microsoft Access, Visual Basic/VBA/VBS, Javascript, Mivascript, SQL, Flash, CSS, HTML/XHTML, Linux and more, Chris is well placed to choose the best technology to fit any project.

Outside work Chris is an amateur artist, member of the Marlborough Art Society, and linguistics student (fluent in Portguese).

Gill Macdonald, Graphic Design

Gill is our in-house guru on graphic design and visual communication. She has twenty years experience in design in the UK and New Zealand. She covers the gambit of branding, marketing material like brochures, fliers etc as well as signs, packaging, labels and much more. There's not too many design jobs she hasn't come across before.
